Nomination Procedures
The nomination form is designed to allow the nominator to provide information about the nominees’ inclusive hiring practices and advocacy for persons with disabilities in Abbotsford or Mission.
Before nominating a person or employer, please consider the following:
- All nominees are required to be connected to and/or to be conducting business in the City of Abbotsford or in the City of Mission.
- Nominees are eligible to win one award in a given year.
- Award recipients may not be nominated in a subsequent year.
- Nominees are required to complete a form indicating they accept their nomination and briefly respond as to how they meet the criteria for their award nomination.
- Partners of the Inclusive Employer Excellence Awards Committee are not eligible to receive an award.
- The committee’s award decision will remain confidential until the Inclusive Employer Excellence Awards taking place this Fall.

In your nomination, please include the following information:
- Your name and contact information (e.g. phone number and/or email)
- Name and contact information of the Nominee
- A brief description of why they should receive this award. Please be as detailed as possible as this information forms the basis of our evaluation. Comment on hiring, training, community advocacy, or other inclusive workplace activities.
- An acknowledgement of the disclaimer (written below)
I understand that a nomination is not a guarantee of award recognition and that winners are determined by the discretion of the IEEA Award Selection Committee. Nominations must be submitted on or before August 15, 2025.
Judging Process
Award recipients are selected out of the pool of eligible nominees by the IEEA Award Selection Committee. This is a sub-committee of the IEEA Awards Planning Committee which includes representatives who are external to the organizations hosting the awards.
Please note: A business cannot receive the same award in consecutive years, but may be eligible to win in a different category.
